Minutes of DC2 SUSY WG discussion 25/05/04 Priorities for DC2 post-production (continuous production phase) (beginning August?) are: (1) a second coannihilation point; (2) DC1 point with initial geometry; (3) a Focus Point model. Post production samples will be run by physics WG (i.e. us!). We've been asked to nominate a person to validate generation with atlfast and to submit the jobs on the grid (with appropriate training!). For initial reconstruction of original DC1 SUSY sample we shall use release 8.2.0. Currently there are no truthjets available, and Moore only works on G4 files. Consequently we will need to check out some additional packages from the nightlies to at least give us truthjets. Will probably only be able to use Muonbox for muons (nice plots already from Tomasso for a few hundred events). For logistics, people should try to get 8.2.0 running on their local systems from the distribution kit, and download some of the 002315 simulation output SUSY files from CASTOR (note these were redigitised) or BNL/LBL. At the same time some reconstructed data files will also be made publicly accessible for people to download if they cannot run reconstruction locally. Suitable job-options will also be made available. Regarding the new DC2 samples - a few hundred coannihilation and old DC1 events have been simulated with G4. The main production of new events has not started yet. The current small scale output will be made publically available. For reconstruction Frank has now produced a perl script to automate the rebuilding of RecoCBNT (now updated on the web-page). Output from reconstruction in 8.2.0 will be ROOT files as PAT framework not ready yet. Consequently people should use RecoCBNT702 to do their analysis.
